Extra Float Boots Update

Float Boots are one of the more popular relics in UnderMine, allowing your peasant to safely traverse dangerous pits and float around obstacles. But we often get asked why Float Boots can't also float over ground hazards like spikes or burning oil? Well now they can.

After nearly a decade of research and over a million hours of field testing, we are proud to introduce the new and unusual Extra Float Boots.

With realistic float physics, walking the traditional way by touching the ground is almost impossible. A slow and arduous process that wastes lots of energy for little gain, we’ve simulated every detail of what it might be like to run on a treadmill made of air while in zero-G.

Though peasants don’t go to school and really don’t know the first thing about physics, they still must abide by Newton’s 3rd Law of Motion. Thankfully, this means that they can propel themselves backwards by attacking, due to the extremely low friction between themselves and the air.

Some have even observed that this quality is vital to the Extra Float Boots, otherwise they’d be “totally impossible to use” and really just an “automatic reroll”.

Through the first few versions of the EFBs did not allow jumping at all, because how would that even work, our expert (and hilarious) engineers found a way to make it happen at almost no extra cost.
